Jungle necklace

This is one cool necklace! It was inspired by the movie "Blood Diamond". It was created to help remind us of the beauty of the land, not the violence and greed surrounding its people and the people who perpetuate that greed. Getting down from my soap box, I will tell you about this awesome necklace. It is filled with some of the most unusual beads. There is the focus piece, natural pine with very unusual graining. The tooth shaped fossil jasper beads are bracketed by ornate vermeil. The large rope looking beads are hemp, and there are some natural wood and horn beads as well. My two favorite beads ar the hand carved skulls I got while in Alaska, they are there to remind us of the cycle of life. There are two more ornate vermeil beads and a vermeil clasp. This is a very special necklace, for its beads and for its meaning. The length is approximately 22 inches long.
