Moonlight and amethyst necklace
The focus piece on this necklace is sooooo cool! It is made with tagua nut, amethyst and sterling silver. Tagua is a plant alternative to ivory, and it is a renewable resource. It is a large hard nut that is harvested from the rainforests of south america. The company that uses this nut in its designs is helping to maintain and support the people living in and around the rainforests. If the rainforests are harvested for the nuts it will make the trees more valuable living and producing than they would be if they were harvested for timber. Although I use mamoth and walrus ivory from the alaskan native carvers, I also love the tagua nut with its smooth ivory-like appearance. This is a very powerful necklace. It has amethyst, the "super power" of the stone world and one of the most efficient of the healing stones. But the power doesn't stop there. I have included some fantastic sugilite. This stone is said to increase concious awareness and to help heal those with major illnesses such as cancer. I have used some jet and black tourmaline to ward off negative energy and mother of pearl to add some soft, female energy to the piece. It is approximately 18 inches long, including the focus piece. There is also some swarovski crystal to add that touch of sparkle.
The price of this piece is US$92.50 with shipping included.
